Welcome to the new site, folks!
Back in Athens following a summer working with Rural Institute for Development Education and trip-leading an American Jewish World Service college-student service learning program in south India. RIDE is a fantastic non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering poor and disadvantaged residents of the city of 1,000 temples, Kanchipuram, and the surrounding area. Our work focused on assisting RIDE staff and local masons in constructing a road safety education park as part of RIDE’s campaign to raise awareness on road safety issues. (Visit this link for a June 2010 New York Times article on road fatalities in India.) Expect to see photos on the Flickr stream and an article from yours truly about RIDE’s sustainable development work and methodology when (and if) the dust settles..
Gearing up for a busy fall. I’ll be joined by Seattle’s upstart roots-rock singer/songwriter Gabriel Mintz for shows this next week.

My new record, Wounded Electric Youth, will be officially available online at CD Baby, iTunes, eMusic, and elsewhere in the next month or so. Til then, the links to purchase WEY on this site won’t be live. In the meantime, I’ll have it on hand at shows from here on out. Wanna get your hands on a copy asap? Send a check payable to “Adam Klein” to the address on the Contact page for $15 (incl. shipping anywhere) and it’ll be on the way.
I’ll be touring in the north, midwest, and south in October/Nov. for the CD release shows. See the Tour page for show listings.
More to come when it comes. Hope to see y’all again at the shows this week down south.
Thanks for stopping by,
adam
